The 24-hour Emergency Department underwent an expansion in 2010, featuring the addition of a triage room, negative pressure room, and decontamination room. The renovation expanded the Emergency Department from 380 square feet to 5,388 square feet and increased capacity from 3 to 7 beds.
Prevost Memorial Hospital is a member of the Louisiana Emergency Response Network (LERN)’s statewide hospital network. LERN works with network hospitals to provide state-of-the-art trauma, stroke, and heart attack protocols to ensure patients receive the best possible care at the appropriate facilities.
